After graduating at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and receiving my Ph.D. in physical-organic chemistry with Prof. Dr. Olah, I joined the central research department with Bayer AG in Leverkusen. By working 6 years in this challenging and highly interdisciplinary environment, I was able to acquire a fairly comprehensive and broad polymer expertise. With this background and after an interim position as director of R&D at a subsidiary of Bayer AG, Rhein Chemie Rheinau GmbH, I was ready to engage in this venture and founded Chem - Solutions GmbH.

When I'm off duty, I like to live outside.
In the warm season I enjoy swimming in salt water, but I don't always have enough time to go to the sea.
So I have to look for alternatives. Fortunately, I live right next to the Palatinate Forest, which starts right behind my garden door. For a short relaxation and I can go hiking or running there any time; in autumn I also find plenty of mushrooms on my route (so far I have survived this hobby).
I also practice traditional archery (recurve bow), a fascinating sport that I discovered for myself about a year ago.

If I could leave the company alone for a whole month, I would love to travel to New Zealand on the opposite side of the world. So far it hasn't worked - self-employed people understand what I mean. But I will hang on.
